I’m so glad you’re here.
I have been yearning for this type of online community for months, and after my precious daughter passed away, the yearning only grew stronger.
I’ve hosted online women’s groups in the past, and every single time … they were stunningly beautiful. Tears were shed, hearts were shared, and a community was formed. Something healing happens when women gather together. We begin to lean on each other, learn from each other, and unburden ourselves amid safe and kindred company.
So, what is the Rose Motherhood Circle?
I chose to name it ‘Rose’ because I feel the rose is a beautiful symbol of what Motherhood is.
An ever-evolving, ever-blossoming flower that begins from the soil, it blooms open petal by petal, explodes into the massive beauty and sweet fragrance of life, then goes on to wilt, die, fall, and be born and bloom again. Motherhood is cyclical, and has many facets, each petal of the rose is unique in it’s beauty, as is each chapter of motherhood. Whether it's the journey of conception, the ups, and downs of pregnancy, the mysteries of loss, the fears and ecstasies of birth, the tender postpartum time, or the many years of growth as we learn and evolve alongside our children - there are SO many petals, and so many facets.
I also admire the thorns on the rose, as they invite boundaries, safety, and practicality into the mix. Like the thorns of a rose, Motherhood can be sharp and painful at times. And that, too, is welcome in this circle.
Who is this circle for?
Women who are:
Mama’s
Trying to conceive
Postpartum
Pregnant
Experiencing loss (perinatal loss, infant loss, child loss)
Everything in between
How does this circle work?
Twice a month, we will meet via Zoom -
Generally speaking, the calls will fall on the second Wednesday of the month at 7pm CST and the last Sunday of the month at 11am CST.
We will meet for 60-90 minutes, depending on the flow of the call.
Each call will have a general topic we will be diving into; some examples are: the conception journey, nutrition during pregnancy, postpartum bliss and lows, breastfeeding, loss and life after loss, nourishing the mother, home birth and hospital birth, doulas and midwives, the transition from 1-2 children, and so much more!
Every call will begin with a brief grounding where we can all leave the busy day behind and become more present in our hearts and our bodies.
The general flow of each call will be - grounding, group check-in (rose and thorn), topic introduction, 3-5 women share, group support, and closing.
Given the size and timing of the group, not every woman will be able to share in-depth on each call. These calls are a wonderful opportunity for you to check in with yourself and speak up when you feel like you have something to share and/or if you could use support. If you want to share, you will know it - trust the urge! We want to hear you and support you.
There is no wrong way to show up to the calls - the only things required are presence, compassion, and an open heart.
Sprinkled throughout the months, we will have some incredible guest teachers joining us to share their wisdom and expertise on all things pregnancy, birth, motherhood, nutrition, etc! Those calls will look a bit different and will end with a Q&A with the teacher :)
